![]() | They are a Group of enthusiastic folk who in great Hollywood tradition like to 'Put on a Show!'. It is a well run group with loads of resources, equipment and talent! New members are always welcome. |

![]() | A while....well, actually 2007 will be the twentieth year! |
![]() | Do you have to live in Lilleshall to join the Group? |
![]() | No, not at all. In the beginning, way back in 1988, all members were expected to be living in Lilleshall. However over the years as the Pantomime has developed and grown, members have been welcomed from other areas, bringing in new ideas and expertise. Everyone is welcome in the Group having a link to Lilleshall, by family or friendships is not importana, just wanting to be part of it all is enough! |
![]() | How do the younger children get involved? |
![]() | The younger children are usually all from Lilleshall Primary school although this is not exclusive. If children wish to take part, they should look out for adverts placed around the area and on this website. |
![]() | How can I get involved and what kind of things would I be asked to do? |
![]() | Look out for information on casting meetings in the Lilleshall and Muxton Parish magazine, or the local Newport Advertiser paper. Everyone is welcome, whether you want to audition, read for a part, or help make props, organise costumes or help with scenery. Chairman of the Group, Stuart Austin is probably one to contact but there will be opportunities for new members to join all the time. |
![]() | How long does it take to put on a Show? |
![]() | First casting takes place in September and rehearsals start soon after that. The Group meets every Monday for rehearsals until Christmas and then every Monday and Wednesday until opening night. Often a rehearsal schedule is produced by the Director, so that cast are not expected to turn out every time but can have some time off! This depends on the Show and casting. It is time consuming and requires commitment but it can also be great fun and a social night out! |
![]() | Where do rehearsals take place, and when? |
![]() | The rehearsals usually all take place in The Memorial Hall from 7.30 - 9.30 but can sometimes run on to after 10pm or occasionally later, as opening night gets closer. It has been known for some cast members to get together in each others homes for extra rehearsals and fun! |
